Our client services team is managing and directing all of your day-to-day questions and needs. So please don’t be shy and reach out if you have any questions big or small we are happy to assist.

Business

Our accountants are currently working through end-of-year planning for business and investment clients. This includes:

  • - Cash flow planning
  • - Tax planning which includes timing of tax payments
  • - Recording your trust distributions within an annual trust resolution

Individuals

Let's talk record keeping, over the last 12 months we have become digitally savvy and less reliant on paper. At Bluebird Accounting, we are committed to creating sustainable practices.

One of which is reducing paper records and creating a pathway to a paperless office.  Clients can go paperless at tax time by providing their information electronically through:

You can provide the information in an excel spreadsheet, your bank statement record or bank CSV download, your digital receipts and any bookkeeping system.

Multiple income sources

2021 financial year has created some variables for many individuals. Some of you may have received JobKeeper stand down payments, JobSeeker payments and multiple employers. If this is you, there are some tax considerations you may need to look at which includes under provision of PAYG from your payments. Therefore, you may wish to start planning your tax position and provide additional savings to be allocated to a tax payable position.

Claiming work-related expenses

There are a wide variety of deductible expenses that can be claimed when incurred in the process of earning assessable income. There is also a lot of misconceptions about what you can and can’t claim.

At Bluebird Accounting we are committed to empowering our clients to make informed decisions about their claims. In June we will be providing you will all the information to understand what you can claim and what is not an acceptable claim.
