What is the Small Business Specialist Advice Pathways Program?

The Specialist Advice Pathways Program or SAPP (there’s always an acronym isn’t there) has three main objectives:

1. 1. To target established employing businesses to support their successful transition in response to disruptive changes
2. 2. Enable eligible business to access timely professional financial or legal advice to assist in making informed business decisions
3. 3. To improve businesses capabilities and preparedness to adapt business models in responses to economic changes.

Our SAPP Packages

• - Preparation of cash flow forecasts and budget for the next 12 months
• - Advice and analysis for your cash flow to help meet projections and close gaps you may have
• - Profitability analysis and assistance with operational strategy
• - Strategic analysis and business planning
• - Advice regarding the management of your debts and liabilities

• - Assistance with representation of commercial agreements.

Our packages are tailored to your individual business needs and commence at $2000 ex GST. This includes a meeting, identification of your goals and a supporting budget. Who is eligible?

The program is targeted at employing small businesses who are established and have been in operation for more than two years. They must meet the following criteria:

1. 1. Be legally structured in Victoria with an Active ABN on and from 1 July 2020, this includes, sole traders, partnerships, companies, trust with corporate trustee.
2. 2. Be registered with Worksafe Vic (hold a WorkCover policy)
3. 3. Employ 1 to 19 full time equivalent staff

There are a few extra items to be mindful of:

1. 1. The minimum advice package is $2,200 (inc GST) which accounts for 8 hours of professional services to be provided
2. 2. If successful you will receive one payment of $1000 upfront and $1000 on satisfactory conclusion of the service activity.
3. 3. The program has limited funding and is not guaranteed.  It’s a first in first served basis.

How to apply for the Small Business Specialist Advice Pathways Program?

1. 1. Submit application via Business Victoria and check your ABN
2. 2. If you are eligible payment of the first $1000 instalment so the project can commence with your Qualified Service Provider
3. 3. On completion of the project, the final grant instalment of $1,000 will be paid. The projects must be completed by the 31 January 2023.
