IMPORTANT - What's going on? Coronavirus, you & your business
Mon 23rd March, 2020

We are currently facing uncertain and unusual times. Please be assured the team at Bluebird Accounting will continue to support you and your business needs over this time.

The situation is changing on an hourly basis but it is clear that most Australians and businesses are heading into a period of unpredictability. This is unchartered territory but we want to reassure you that we are here to support you and your business.

What we are doing to support you:

  • Over the coming 48 hours, Bluebird Accounting is dissecting the stimulus package handed down on Sunday the 22nd of March. This will include a number of key economic stimulus and we will send out an update on what’s in it for you.
  • We are developing strategies and solutions for our clients to navigate the changing environment.
  • We will continue to support you to meet your compliance needs.
  •  We are committed to helping you get through to the other side of the Coronavirus outbreak. This means will be monitoring the situation closely and the impact it will have on you and your business.
  • Working on strategies to get you working “on” your business rather than “in” your business at this time.

The Victorian government will enact a series of measure that begin from midday today. We urge you to check the Victorian Government website for updates on what businesses and services are closed. Stage 1 closures include all bars, clubs, pubs, casinos, entertainment venues, gyms, indoor sports venues, weddings, funerals and places of worship.

School holidays have also been brought forward which mean many of you are now grappling with working from home and homeschooling kids. Testing time indeed!

In such difficult times, we urge you to contact us to discuss your own financial situation. Governments are aware of the impact this is having on businesses and they are rolling out stimulus packages all the time. We can help you navigate all the information.

We are all faced with the same situation and circumstances, it is important to continue to be kind to one and other and support businesses where you can. This may mean keeping your direct debits running to support someone else’s livelihood and working out an arrangement for reduced fees in the future. Continue to communicate openly and support each other.

Keep an eye out for our next update which will provide further information and clarity surrounding the government's second STIMULUS.

Our team will be working remotely until further notice but we're only a phone call or email away.

Let’s keep positive, be kind and stay safe.

Julian, Liz & the Bluebird team
